A Christmas Tale

All is quiet on a hill
The wind whispers, blowing where it will
Long sighs fill the night
Sleeping herds make quite a sight

Suddenly, they're bathed in light
Sheep and shephers stand in fright
Swirling stars descend from high
Fiery angels fill the sky

singing a chorus of "Gloria!"
The shepherds fill with euphoria
Then with sudden vigour they run
to Bethlehem, to meet the Son

Running through the pre-dawn street
Yelling to everyone they meet
Coming to the stable-cave
And Jesus Christ who's come to save

Michael
